The Okinawans temperament to value and respect nature, inspired ancient Okinawans to not waste any parts of the pig. For that purpose, the pig’s lard has been used to protect the skin and hair from dehydration and other uses. Lard Labo skin care cream was born from Okinawa’s very own wisdom and blessings of its nature.

Lard is known to blend in well with human skin. Lard labo skin care cream is combined with a 10% mixture of the rare Okinawan Agu pork as an emollient component. Perfectly blended softly just like whipped cream. The plant based essential oils and moisturizing components keeps the skin moist, leaving it smooth and soft to the touch. It is also effective on dark spots as well.

By using Agu Lard abundantly we created a formula that melts and blends instantly when applied to the skin. In addition, we combined Almond oil, shea butter, mango seed oil to protect the moisture in your skin from evaporating. This light, non-sticky cream will assist you to achieve beautiful and bright healthy skin.

We used liquid oil from selected sweet almonds. Almond oil is highly permeable and has a high moisturizing and brightening effect on the skin.

The melting point of shea butter is low from 28-45℃ and melts when applied onto the skin. Shea butter not only moisturizes the skin but also protects your hair from the strong ultraviolet radiation and keeps it moisturized.

This oil is obtained by mango seeds and performs well in permeating deep into the skin. The ultraviolet rays are composed by A-waves (UVA) and B-waves (UVB). Mango seed oil contains substance to cut out UVB which is the main cause of wrinkles and sagging of skin.

Combined with Hyaluronic acid and 4 types of plant extract

Along with Hyaluronic acid which performs highly in moisturizing, we combined Hibiscus extract, Shell ginger leaf extract, Aloe vera extract, and turmeric extract that will protect the skin from drying and improves the skin texture.

Will I get sunburnt because it contains lard?

You do not have to worry about getting sunburnt. Lard's substance is very similar to that of the human's natural skin oils. Animal fats contain a large number of moisturizing components. Lard's fatty acid composition is close to the human sebum than shea better or olive oil, therefore, it blends in well with the skin and protects the skin from dehydration.

Can it be used as sunscreen?

It cannot be used as sunscreen. However, it can be very effectively used for skin care after too much sun. Lard also contains linoleic acid which reduces the growth of melanin. It also contains vitamin A which keeps the skin moisturized and Vitamin D which boosts your metabolism and immune system. These elements will moisturize sun damaged skin and bring beauty and brightness to the skin.

Can it be used on sensitive / infants' skin?

From ancient times, lard has commonly been used as an ointment in traditional Chinese medicine and is also specified as a medicinal substance in japan. In addition, Lard is very similar to the human skin substance so it can be used for infants, or people with sensitive skin.
